About usEasyUpdate - Content management made easy
EasyUpdate enables an non-technical user to update the content on their own Web site, without having to come back to a Web design company. Updates are made through a password protected administration interface that runs on the Web, so updates can be made at any location.
This tool has been used by many of our clients, including Regency Oak, Vascotrack and Carberry Travel. We have also added this tool onto existing Web sites.
The editor
The screen shot above shows the main page editor in use. The area at the top of the page enables the user to select an area within the page to update, whilst the main area below is the text based (WYSIWYG) editor.
The user can make changes to the text and images in the page and then review them from within the editor.
Content sharing
Some content on a Web site may be shared across multiple pages in the site. For example, a news clip may appear in multiple locations. EasyUpdate provides this capability and enables a user to update the content in a single location.
Template management
EasyUpdate uses a template system that enables a site design to remain consistent (and protected) across the site. A non-privileged user can only change the content in 'windows' in a page.
A more experienced user (typically someone who understands the HTML language) can also maintain and update the site templates from within EasyUpdate.
